In formulating clinical practice recommendations, consideration should also be given to other factors including patient preferences and expectations, costs, accessibility, and acceptability of the interventions within a shared decision-making framework when developing care plans for adults with pain.

Overall, we hope our work impacts the direction, methodological quality, external validity, and relevance of future research in the field of rehabilitation for people with pain.
